For the past year, I've been taking notes on everything I wish I could have shared with a younger me about the world of Web3. As a participant in and creator of a project, I got to experience firsthand the challenges, the opportunities and above all the culture of this ecosystem.
The longer you live in this space, the more you realize how little you know. But I thought that if I could contribute to people who, like me, want to learn about what's happening in the "intelligent web", I could start by sharing some things that aren't taught in current books or found on Google. I also understood that to explain a concept full of foreign terms, we needed to speak a language people understand, through the channels where they actually go to learn. Besides Google and YouTube, a book on Amazon was the next alternative.
I realized that many of the existing books were either too technical or written by authors who weren't that immersed in what's actually happening in the space, who didn't command the language or belong to the culture. They were mostly Web2 executives or authors, speaking in terms so technical they ended up overwhelming the reader.
I'm not a book author, but after a lot of effort, I'm really happy with the result. It's a practical guide, with objective and at times even skeptical arguments, about the culture we live in and the lessons I've learned, as well as those learned by others who, like me, have been "degens" and founded their own projects.
I hope this book can be a small contribution to the new wave of disruptors who want to learn about the space in a faster, simpler way, with fewer stumbles.
